The holidays can be a challenging time for some families. With children off school for two weeks, family meals expected, and wish lists sent to Santa, one can only imagine the stress a struggling parent experiences during the holiday season. West Hill is an area in particular need, as up to 45% of all children and families are already living in poverty.
“This donation that you have given my family was extremely kind. It gave my kids the biggest smile on their faces on Christmas and helped me make sure they had good food to eat.” – 2016 WHH Recipient
Together we can help to ease the burden for some hard-working parents, and give them a sense of community, security, and support. 100% of all donations to West Hill Harvest go directly to the families who need it.
Over this holiday season we will serve 20 deserving families. We plan to give each family a basket of food, non-violent toys, personal care items and a significant grocery store gift card to help them over the holidays and into January.
How can you help?
There are many ways for your to get involved this holiday, we’ve listed a few of them below.
